Is there no guiltier pleasure than enjoying the emo sounds of Panic at the Disco? Forget the loss of the band's exclamation mark, their sophomore effort Pretty. Odd. is as infectious as ever despite sounding a little like their old stuff mashed up with the stylings very much reminiscent of Oasis and the Beatles (is that blasphemous?) Guyliner or not, it's hard not to be infected with their punchy upbeats and pop-friendly whimsy and how I do love the playfulness of their song titles. Much the same old Panic sound with dashes of hit-and-miss bravery when it ventures outside of the expected. Recommended if you dug A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.
