Iron Man in Tropic Thunder

After seeing Iron Man, I will finally concede that Robert Downey Jr. was the right guy to play Tony Stark. Initially sceptical of the casting choice, his performance in the (surprisingly) better than average film won me over and had me convinced. So convincing was his turn as Iron Man, even Gwyneth was almost adorable. Almost. Also, if you're one of the many that didn't stay 'til the end of the credits, you missed out on a mouth-watering cameo of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury talking to Tony about the Avenger initiative (can anyone spell 'sequel'). Can't wait for RDJ to don on the Iron Man suit again but until then, peep his next role as Kirk Lazarus in Tropic Thunder, a white Australian multiple Academy Award-winning method actor who portrays an African-American character. Comedy gold!
