I've never been politically-minded locally, let alone astute on all politics globally, but it's hard to ignore the achievement of Barack Obama in becoming the first black American to run for the U.S. presidency. It's not very P.C. of me to mention the whole 'race' thing but when the constant focus of the media is about colour or gender rather than capability, well, it's going to get mentioned. Let's face it, if it was based on capability, then Dubbya would've never have gotten re-elected, let alone gotten in in the first instance (two ins don't make an out ... or something like that). Congratulations Senator Obama. That's job half-done. I'm looking forward to November and seeing which incumbent becomes the next U.S. president. My money is on Democrat Barack. In case you're wondering, Democrats generally tend to be economically more conservative and socially more liberal (think Labour or left-wing) whereas Republicans tend to be more economically liberal and more socially conservative (think Liberal or right-wing). KFC, on the other hand, tend to be all about chicken wings. Zing!
